Install

A one-time install step for the beta.

On macOS
  1. 1
Open the .dmg and drag Prompt to Page to Applications.
  2. 2
    Open Terminal and run once:
    xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Prompt to Page.app"
  3. 3
Right-click → Open does not work — the app launches a bundled helper process, so the quarantine flag has to be cleared via the command above.
  4. 4
Open Prompt to Page from Applications. First launch runs a short, one-time model setup.
Why this step?

The beta is ad-hoc signed and not yet notarized, so macOS quarantines it. This step clears the quarantine flag and goes away once the app is notarized.

On Windows
  1. 1
Download and run Prompt to Page_0.1.1_x64_en-US.msi.
  2. 2
If Windows SmartScreen shows “Windows protected your PC”, click More info → Run anyway, then follow the installer.
  3. 3
Launch Prompt to Page from the Start menu. First launch runs a short, one-time model setup.
Why this step?

The beta installer isn't yet signed with a reputation-bearing certificate, so SmartScreen warns the first few times. It eases as the app's reputation builds.

Model setup

One app, your choice of local model.

Use the built-in runtime for a one-click setup, or point Prompt to Page at an Ollama or LM Studio instance you already run.

  • Built-in
Click setup. Downloads an open-weight model once, then offline.
  • Ollama
Pick any model you've pulled. Prompt to Page connects locally.
  • LM Studio
Connect to a running LM Studio server on your machine.
